Matt Campos spent his
first summer in Alaska working for the Bureau of Land
Management as a Land Surveyor Technician. You might notice that in the
second picture from the left, there is a glacier behind Matt. Matt
is currently working towards a geomatics degree at Fresno State. |

Jason Wood and Victor Lefor worked on a "Trail Shot" crew
building and repairing hiking trails. Although stationed at Minarets
Ranger District, Jason also fought fires and Victor (far right) spent most
of his summer on the Los Padres National Forest. |
  
Eric Berkley worked for the Army Corps of Engineers at Kaweah
Lake near Three Rivers. As a Ranger he performed numerous duties
including conducting park and lake patrols and public relations. |
  
Ronnie Pina worked on a trail crew. |
Curtis Kleinknight worked on the Trailshot crew. In addition to repairing and maintaining trails, curtis and
the other trailshots worked on numerous fires.

Bobby Kamansky spent the summer working in Shaver Lake at Southern California Edison.
Bobby worked at a recreation tech and was involved in various duties including giving interpretive presentations and fire
management.

Myron Boles worked at Yosemite National Park
with an engine crew out of Wawona. Myron fought several backcountry fires like the
"Chill" Fire and the "Blue" Fire in Modoc National
Forest. He also spent some of his time on a prescribed burn crew. |
