The
Field Day, coordinated by the college's LAND department, is a
judging field which drew more than 600 high school students from 71
chapters throughout the state.
The event featured twelve different competitions, including
Ag Pests, Ag Mechanics, Computers, Best Informed Greenhand, Farm
Power, Floriculture, Forestry, Horse, Land, Livestock, Ornamental
Horticulture, and Specialty Animals. The day’s events included entertainment and a luncheon; and
concluded with an awards presentation.
RC's LAND
department offers premiere programs for students in agriculture,
forestry, and landscape horticulture.
Students may chose to earn an associate degree, prepare for
transfer to a four-year college, or gain career skills.
